Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 at Lawson Fuses
At Lawson Fuses, we understand that good mental health is just as important as physical health. That’s why, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week, we organised a series of initiatives to raise awareness, encourage open conversations and embed wellbeing more deeply into our company culture.
Promoting Self-Care and Positive Thinking
To inspire colleagues to take small steps towards better mental health, we created and distributed a series of self-care and positive thinking cards. These included daily affirmations, prompts for self-reflection and reminders to pause and breathe, all aimed at encouraging mindfulness during the working day.
Encouraging Time Away from Screens
We also launched a book lending and sharing table in the canteen. This initiative promotes reading as a way to switch off from the digital world, reduce stress and enjoy a few quiet moments of escapism.
A Walk for Wellbeing
As physical activity plays a key role in supporting mental health, we organised a company wellbeing walk. It was a great opportunity to step away from the workday, enjoy the outdoors and connect with colleagues in a relaxed setting. The positive impact on mood and team spirit was clear, and the sunshine helped too!
Healthy Starts to the Day
Nutrition is another vital pillar of wellbeing, so we offered a range of healthy breakfast options in the canteen throughout the week. From fresh fruit to wholegrain options, we aimed to highlight how small dietary choices can support better energy, focus and mood throughout the day.
A Culture of Ongoing Support
While Mental Health Awareness Week gave us a moment to shine a spotlight on these topics, our commitment to wellbeing extends far beyond one week a year. We strive to create a culture where mental health is prioritised every day and where all colleagues feel supported, heard, and valued.
Thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to such a positive, uplifting week.
